Spotted some Turkey Tail fungus while walking the Nature Trail today 🦃, along with a puff ball and this other brown mushroom that was growing in the path of a rotten log. Any mycologists want to identify it? It was a bit degraded by the time I found it.

It was wonderful to have the Mahone Middle School ECO Club visit the Center for Sustainable Living last week! The weather was brisk and damp but we were still able to spend time outdoors on the trail. Thanks for visiting!

An unprecedented joint statement by more than 200 medical journals warns that the rapidly warming climate is the "greatest threat" to global public health.

The editorial, published in leading journals like The Lancet and the British Medical Journal, says the world cannot wait for the COVID pandemic to pass before addressing climate change.

"No temperature rise is 'safe,'" the editorial says. "In the past 20 years, heat-related mortality among people over 65 years of age has increased by more than 50%."
