🥎 Senior Night Recap – Pacer Softball 🖤💛
Earlier this season, we had the privilege of celebrating Kennedy Kasten, our lone senior on the Shoreland Pacer Softball team, during Senior Night.
It was a special evening recognizing Kennedy’s commitment, leadership, and Christ-centered example both on and off the field. Her dedication to her teammates and the program has made a lasting impact, and we are grateful for the time she has invested as a Pacer.
We give thanks to God for Kennedy and pray His continued blessings as she steps into her next chapter.
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.” – Colossians 3:23
Thank you, Kennedy, and congratulations on a memorable senior season! 🥎💛🖤

Today we’re thanking Mrs. Sarah Schoenfeld as she begins an exciting new chapter serving with Friends Network in Seoul, South Korea. 🌏💛
For the past 5 years at Shoreland Lutheran High School, Mrs. Schoenfeld has faithfully supported students in countless ways through academic planning, career planning, scheduling, and providing mental health resources and referrals.
Whether helping students navigate schedules, plan for their future, or simply offering a listening ear and encouragement during difficult moments, Mrs. Schoenfeld has been a caring and trusted presence for many students and families. Her compassion and calm support made a meaningful difference in the lives of so many within the Shoreland community.
Before Shoreland, she also served at Friedens Lutheran School and with Friends of China, continuing her heart for ministry and service.

Today we’re celebrating Mr. Joel Koschnitzke and 10 years of ministry! 🎉
For the past 5 years at Shoreland Lutheran High School, Mr. Koschnitzke has encouraged students both in the classroom and on the court through his steady faith, positivity, and care for students.
Teaching Christian Living and Foundations of Faith, he helps students wrestle with important questions, grow in their faith, and see how God’s Word applies to everyday life. Outside the classroom, he also invests countless hours into students as JV Boys Basketball Coach and Assistant Varsity Basketball Coach.
Whether it’s a classroom conversation, a pregame talk, or simply being there for students day after day, Mr. Koschnitzke’s impact reaches far beyond what most people see.
Thank you, Mr. Koschnitzke, for 10 years of faithful ministry and for the many ways you continue to pour into the lives of Shoreland students. 🏀💛🖤

As this school year comes to a close, we also prepare to say goodbye to several valued members of the Shoreland Lutheran High School family. 💛🖤
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be highlighting staff members who are beginning new chapters — whether that means retirement, new ministry opportunities, serving abroad, focusing on family, or following God’s calling to a new place.
Each of these individuals has left a meaningful impact on Shoreland through their work, relationships, leadership, and care for students. While we are sad to see them go, we are incredibly thankful for the time, talents, and ministry they shared with our school community.
Join us throughout May and June as we celebrate these members of the Shoreland family and thank them for the ways they have blessed our students and school. 🎉
