Where did the time go? ❤️📚

Another homeschool year is finished and my heart is full.

This year is especially emotional because we are graduating another daughter! 🎓

Next year I will only have two students left at home, a 9th grader and a 6th grader. Out of ten children, we are almost to the finish line.

I will also be starting my 21st year of teaching from home which honestly feels impossible to believe. Time really does fly. The days can feel long sometimes, but the years go by so quickly.

I am so thankful for the opportunity God gave me to teach my children at home and thankful for the encouragement and resources from BJU Press through the years.

To all the homeschool moms finishing up this year, great job. The work you are doing matters more than you know. ❤️

Hey everyone! Meal planning doesn’t have to be a chore—it’s actually a great way to involve our kiddos in some hands-on learning. I love using crock pot and instant meal recipes to keep things simple, and I always make a list of the dishes we’ll prepare for the week.

One of the best parts is involving my children and teenagers in the process! Not only do they get to choose meals they’ll enjoy making, but it’s a fantastic opportunity to include home economics in our homeschool curriculum.

It’s practical, fun, and helps them learn valuable skills they can use for years to come.

Throwback to one of my favorite homeschool memories — back when all 8 kids were still at home. 🥹

Library day was always a big deal for us. We'd usually come home with around 40 books, but there was one particular trip where all 8 kids came along, and we walked out with even more than that.

I honestly lost count. That afternoon, every child had a fresh stack of books waiting by their bed for rest time after lunch. The house got quiet in the best possible way.

I'm so grateful we made the library such a big part of our homeschool years. It was free, it was fun, and it fed a love of reading in every single one of my kids.

How to Organize & Focus on BJU Press Focus on Fives
