Educational Opportunity Center The Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) at UW-Parkside is here to help you find your direction

The University of Wisconsin Parkside has been awarded a TRIO grant for the creation of an Educational Opportunity Center (EOC). This center provides support services and resources designed to improve educational outcomes for underserved populations in the region. Our dedicated team at the EOC is excited to offer the following:

Assistance choosing an academic program and courses

Assistance t

hrough the college and financial aid application processes

Assistance with secondary school re-entry or guidance to an alternative, such as the general educational development (GED) program

Education about financial and economic literacy, including personal finances and how paying for college fits into the personal finances

Personal, career, and academic counseling

Our team of trio students, alumni, and staff split into two groups, one to package food at the Shalom Center of the Interfaith Network and the other cleaning out invasive brush at the River Bend Nature Center in Racine. We're getting closer to our Day of Service to show our community that . Any of our staff, students, and alumni are welcome to get involved in a day of community service at the REC (Root River Environmental Education Community Center) or Shalom Center of the Interfaith Network. Join us before hand for breakfast at Gateway Technical College and after lunch at University of Wisconsin-Parkside.

We are so excited to work with Gateway Technical College again this summer for their open house events. Come ask questions, meet staff and faculty, and get some of that paperwork done with the pro so you can reach your education goals.

Thursday April 9th from 11:00-1:00, in the Poplar Room at UW-University of Wisconsin-Parkside, staff are available to help with the FAFSA. Please bring your computer and come enjoy refreshments.
