💚 May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚
Throughout the month of May at Park Middle School, our Student Assistance Professional, Mr. Mendoza led meaningful activities to support student well‑being—from positive chalk messages in the courtyard to having students brainstorm healthy coping strategies and self‑care ideas.

Thank you to everyone who helped create a positive, supportive environment for our Park Cubs. Taking care of ourselves and each other matters every day. 💚

📚✨ What an incredible author visit!✨📚
Through the Cavalcade of Authors, Park Middle School had the honor of welcoming Newbery Medal and Pura Belpré Award winning author, Donna Barba Higuera, to our school.

Students and staff loved meeting her and learning about her storytelling and writing process—and one of our classes even read her books together this year!

Thank you for inspiring our Cubs to read, write, and dream big. 💚🐾

🌸 Spring activities are in full swing at Park Middle School 🌸
From track, baseball, and softball to chess tournaments and a fantastic choir concert last week—our Park Cubs are busy shining! 🎶

⚾🥎4/15: A team Softball and Baseball at home on Wednesday
⚾4/16: A team Baseball at home on Thursday

Next week, Park's track team hosts on Thursday, 4/23!

🔧🎓Tri-Tech Skills Center Visits Our 8th Graders!🎓🔧
Our 8th grade students had the opportunity to explore Tri‑Tech Skills Center programs through hands‑on, interactive stations set up right on campus. Students asked questions, tried activities, and got a real feel for what each program has to offer.

One of the highlights? Some of the Tri‑Tech students were former Park Cubs, making the experience even more meaningful and inspiring for our kids.

Thank you to Tri‑Tech for an engaging, student‑centered experience that helped our 8th graders be excited about future opportunities!🐾

Park Middle School is excited about our collaboration with WSU Tri-Cities as a Teaching Laboratory School—partnering to provide in‑class opportunities for the next generation of teachers! 🐾📚

We are proud to partner with Kennewick School District to launch a new WSU Tri-Cities Teaching Laboratory School at Park Middle School! This collaboration gives our teacher candidates hands-on practicum experiences across multiple classrooms while supporting innovative learning at Park.

We’re excited to work together to strengthen opportunities for future educators.

🎉 Celebrating Our Honor Roll Cubs! 🎉

Last week we honored Park Middle School students who achieved academic excellence in Quarter 2, earning a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and students who have had perfect attendance for Semester 1! These Cubs have shown incredible perseverance and commitment to learning, and we couldn’t be prouder. We also had some fun with a spirit competition and enjoyed music from our amazing Jazz band.

♟️💚✨Chess at Park Middle School!✨💚♟️

This weekend, several of our Park Cubs participated in the K–12 Chess Tournament we hosted in partnership with Eastgate Elementary School and B5 — an incredible event with more than 300 players from across the region!

For some of our students, it was their first-ever tournament, and they showed amazing courage, focus, and sportsmanship. We’re so proud of how they represented our school!

💗 Pink Week Impact! 💗

Today, Park Middle School proudly presented the check from our October Pink Week fundraiser to the Tri-Cities Cancer Center.

Thank you to our amazing students, staff, and families for showing your support and helping make a difference in our community. Your generosity helps provide critical resources and care for those fighting cancer.

Tonight, Park Middle School's band and choir joined forces with Kennewick High School and Horse Heaven Hills Middle School for an unforgettable performance at Kennewick High!

Our students wowed the audience with amazing energy and talent—from beautiful choir harmonies to bold, dynamic band performances!

A huge shout-out to our talented musicians, dedicated directors, and supportive families for making this night so special. 💚
