Our Zumba Fitness Dance Class at the Pacific Clinic

We meet at 4:30pm on Tuesdays in The lobby @ The Pacific Campus, 1350 N. Gym membership not required. We have fun working on balance, coordination, confidence and keeping your mind and body healthy...all while dancing to family friendly music. The class is held every Tuesday at 4:30 pm and is free for anyone with intellectual and/or developmental challenges. A family member or aide is free to atte

nd with the student and any age can participate. You do not have to be a member of the club to attend. I asked to start this class at the gym I belonged to for many reasons. A few of them are....1. My daughter has Down syndrome and she loves Zumba music and dancing...she inspired me. 2. My mom worked with adults with special needs back in the '60s through the WARC and the Pasco Recreation Department (I'm carrying on her passion.) My mom is my cheerleader for this class. 3. I am committed to providing fun exercise in a safe environment for this population. I've always been involved in some form of dance since I was 5 and started instructing fitness classes at 23. Fast forward to 2009. I really liked taking Zumba classes at the Tri City Court Club (so did Macie.) So, I became a licensed instructor in 2010 with this special class in mind to instruct. This class is so rewarding...I love my students and am so proud of them! Zumba Fitness is for everybody!
