The Children's Reading Foundation of the Mid-Columbia

Sometimes the magic happens without any prompting at all.

These boys discovered a dinosaur book during a recent visit, and what unfolded was pure joy. They passed it back and forth, crowded in over the pages, argued about which dinosaur was the coolest, and stayed at it for almost half an hour. Nobody told them to keep reading. They just did.

It brought us so much joy to watch. This is what we mean when we say a good book has power! The right one finds a kid and they’re hooked. Check out our website for all the places we’ll be this summer.
