Ages from 5 to 9. Youngers wrote a sentence on which book was their favorite. Oldest went and interviewed them on the why and added the supporting details. Youngers will edit their sentence. Older will edit the whole paragraph. 🥰 All the writing feels!!!

Cubs have been learning about consumers and producers and needs before wants through some morals of stories! Sneak peak of some items they have been working on to sell. They have been producing some items to raise money for their school haven. Producer…… make to sell.

It wasn’t the glamorous zoo with sloths and turtles I think they had envisioned in their head, but the sweet puppies and cats got some company today and we got a tour of the facility. Including the animal officers who raised a lot a great questions. 🐕🐈♥️

We are skilled based which means we teach kids where they are at based on capability not on age or grade level. I pulled four groups today for writing and these were the levels we hit. Our small group instruction time allows us to differentiate accordingly. From fine motor/letter formation, to letters and sounds make words, to words make sentences, all the way to note taking! Wide range! All meeting goals.

2nd business! We have had some questions if national board means we have our masters. It doesn’t mean that. Anyone can get their masters even if all you have is student teaching experience. The national boards is a rigorous process that you start when you have been teaching for at least 3 years. It’s defined as a voluntary, advanced teaching credential that goes beyond state required legislature. National Board Certification is the most respected professional certification available in education. It was designed to develop, retain and recognize accomplished teachers. 4 out of 10 teachers earn their national boards.♥️
