KCTC Senior Marketing and Travel & Tourism student, Maddox Childress, was eager to join in with Gary Figgins and Christian Johnson at the Missouri Welcome Center to celebrate National Travel & Tourism Week on Cinco de Mayo. He assisted in communicating with visitors and sharing tacos prepared by the KCTC Culinary program. Mr. Figgins and Mr. Johnson are advisory committee members for the Marketing program and we are so thankful for their advice and dedication to our students!

Kennett High School and KCTC Law Enforcement student, Greenly Bradshaw, is the recipient of an academic scholarship to Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, MO where she will continue her education in Criminology. Her focus will be in forensics with a focus on working with children.

Greenly is the daughter of David and Nicole Bradshaw. While participating in the Law Enforcement program for two years under instructor, Ryan Holder, she has also remained involved in a multitude of extracurricular activities. She was celebrated today alongside her parents, Mr. Holder, several of her classmates, a representative from the college, and KCTC Director, Lance Penn.

We have been closely monitoring today’s weather conditions, working with our local emergency management team, and reviewing updates from the National Weather Service.

Due to the potential for severe weather, including high winds and large hail, and inclement weather anticipated around our regular dismissal time and during bus routes, we will dismiss early today at 2:00 PM to ensure all students can return home safely with their families.

Please be prepared and have a plan in place for this early dismissal. We will continue to communicate any additional updates through our usual channels.
