We’re capping off our TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK with our newbie, Sis. Delores!

We are so thankful for Sis. Delores Adams, who stepped into the role of kindergarten teacher this year at KCA! Though this is her first year teaching, you’d never know it—she’s poured her heart and soul into her classroom and made a lasting impact.

As both a KCA parent and alum, her love for our school runs deep. She even produced our Thanksgiving play this year, going above and beyond to create special memories for our students and families. Her creativity, energy, and heart for children shine in everything she does.

Thank you, Sis. Delores, for jumping in with both feet and giving your all. You are a gift to KCA!

TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK continues with Sis. Deborah!!

We’re so thankful for Sis. Deborah Thompson, who just wrapped up her second year teaching at KCA! Before stepping into the classroom, she was a dedicated KCA parent—and now she’s become an essential part of our team.

She began in elementary and, this year, took on the role of teaching science and life skills. Her heart for students, willingness to grow, and ability to adapt wherever needed have made such a difference. She brings creativity, compassion, and real-world wisdom to her classes, and we’re so grateful for the example she sets each day.

Thank you, Sis. Deborah, for investing in the lives of our students and being such a blessing to KCA!

Today we continue our teacher spotlight here at KCA for Teacher Appreciation Week!

We’re celebrating an incredible teacher and leader—Sis. Sheila Durk —who is finishing her 11th year at KCA!

She has poured her heart into this school, starting in kindergarten, moving to elementary, and now teaching English and History—two subjects she absolutely loves! Her passion for teaching is contagious, and she lights up when a student finally "gets it." Her classroom is not just a place to learn—it’s a place to grow, to be challenged, and to be loved.

Sis. Sheila believes that anyone can be a student and anyone can be teachable-even her—and that mindset has made all the difference. Thank you for your years of dedication, compassion, and unwavering love for both learning and your students. KCA is blessed to have you!

It’s TEACHER APPRECATION WEEK!!
And here at KCA we have wonderful staff that we want to highlight this week!

And there is no one better to kick off the week than Bro. Johnson!

Today, we want to give honor where honor is due. Bro. Chris Johnson is finishing his 24th year at KCA, and what a legacy of faithfulness he has built! Over the years, he has served as assistant principal, high school teacher, Bible teacher, math teacher, and a spiritual leader through devotions and chapels. These are just a FEW of his jobs!!

His dedication, consistency, and heart for God have left a lasting impact on generations of students. There is no truer man of God. We are so grateful for the example he sets every day—both in and out of the classroom.

Thank you, Bro. Johnson, for 24 years of service, excellence, and unwavering faith. KCA is better because of you!
