We’re kicking off a week full of fun, kindness, and BIG hearts as we raise money to support the incredible work of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital!🌟

📚 MONDAY — Mystery Readers!
We kicked off our week with some very special Mystery Readers visiting our classrooms! 📖✨ Families can still join the fun by volunteering to read to our students. $5 donation per reader.❤️

👢 TUESDAY — Best Boot Forward!
Grab those boots and get ready to KICK CANCER TO THE CURB!👢🎀 Children and teachers can wear their favorite boots for a $1 donation.

🌟 A Day in the Life of a Preschooler at Foundations! 🌟

What might look like a day filled with play is actually a day filled with purposeful learning, discovery, and growth! 💛

👗 Playing Dress-Up
Imaginative play helps children develop creativity, language, social skills, problem-solving, and the ability to express themselves. When children step into different roles, they are learning to understand the world around them!

✋ Fine Motor Fun
Cutting, drawing, manipulating small objects, building, and creating all help strengthen those little hands and fingers. These skills build the foundation for future tasks like writing, buttoning, zipping, and using classroom tools independently.

🔤 Name Recognition
Learning to recognize and identify their own name is an important early literacy skill. It helps children begin connecting letters and sounds while building confidence and a sense of identity—“That’s MY name!” 💕

🌳 Outdoor Play
Running, climbing, balancing, jumping, and exploring help develop gross motor skills, coordination, strength, and confidence. Outdoor play also provides opportunities for children to practice cooperation, problem-solving, and taking safe risks.

And these are just a few moments from one preschool day! ✨

🍎🌋 Little Scientists, BIG Discoveries!🌋🍎

Our toddlers had a blast exploring STEM with a fun and fizzy Apple Volcano experiment!🧪✨

They made predictions, explored cause and effect, practiced observation skills, and watched their apple “volcanoes” bubble and fizz! 🤩🍎

We love turning learning into hands-on fun at Foundations for the Future! 💛 From curious minds to little scientists, there’s always something exciting to discover! 🔬🌟
