Creating innovative learning experiences that empower educators to elevate instruction and boost student engagement for classrooms in the Southeast.

We are educators, parents of students, and business people with a passion and a purpose. We are all aware of the classroom protocol of teachers asking students to power down phones and devices at the start of class. Outside of the classroom, students live in a “Powered Up” digital World. Why should their world inside the classroom be any different? We PowerUp the classroom, teachers and students.

🚀 From Classroom to Career: Real-World STEM in Action!
We love seeing stories like this from Bartow County Schools! 👏
Congratulations to Adairsville High School junior Aaron Souders on becoming the first officially certified FAA Drone Pilot in the district—an incredible achievement in a fast-growing, high-demand field. Big kudos as well to Mr. John Ford for guiding Aaron every step of the way and making career-connected learning a reality.
This milestone is a perfect example of what happens when schools implement WOZ ED, K-12’s STEM Career Pathway curriculum through PowerUpEDU—giving students access to industry-aligned tools, hands-on experiences, and certifications that prepare them for real-world opportunities.
💡 From foundational skills to industry credentials, students aren’t just learning—they’re launching careers before graduation.
Way to go, Aaron, Mr. Ford, and the entire Adairsville High School team for paving the way for future innovators! 🌟

Do Screens Belong in Physical Education? 05/20/2026

Thank you for the great article, Lü. Having had the opportunity to see the impact of Lü Interactive Playgrounds firsthand over the last five years, I strongly support the thoughtful integration of movement-based technology into physical education programs. After helping place hundreds of Lü systems into schools, I’ve witnessed something that often gets lost in the broader “screen time” conversation: not all technology experiences are created equal.

The article makes an important distinction between passive screen consumption and active, purposeful engagement. The Lü is not students sitting still scrolling on devices. It is students running, jumping, collaborating, competing, creating, and participating in ways that many traditional PE environments struggle to consistently achieve for every learner.

What has stood out most to me is the way Lü helps educators reach students who historically disengaged from PE. While traditional sports will always have an important place in physical education, not every student connects with basketball, football, or laps around the gym. Lü creates another entry point for participation. I have personally seen students who were reluctant to engage in traditional activities become excited to move, collaborate, and participate because the experience felt interactive, inclusive, and fun.

Equally important, Lü does not replace teachers or sound pedagogy — it enhances them. The best implementations we’ve seen are led by strong educators who use the technology intentionally to support standards-based instruction, teamwork, movement, motor skill development, and social-emotional learning. The article is exactly right in stating that PE is more than exercise alone; it is a classroom focused on developing lifelong healthy habits and physical literacy.

I also appreciate the article’s balanced perspective. Technology should never be integrated simply because it exists. But dismissing tools like Lü solely because they involve projection or digital interaction overlooks the tremendous value they can bring to student engagement and inclusive instruction. The reality is that schools are searching for ways to motivate students to move more, connect more, and participate more — and when implemented properly, Lü has proven to be an incredibly effective tool for doing exactly that.

After seeing hundreds of schools adopt these spaces, one thing has become very clear to me: the schools experiencing the greatest success are not using Lü as a replacement for traditional PE, but as a complement to it. It creates another pathway to movement, another avenue for engagement, and another opportunity for students of all abilities to feel successful in physical education.

At the end of the day, the goal is simple: get students moving, learning, collaborating, and building positive relationships with physical activity. From what I’ve seen firsthand over the past five years, Lü has absolutely helped schools accomplish that mission. Jerry Gaillard

At Huntsville City Schools Innovators Summit this week, PowerUpEDU Education Consultants introduced WOZ ED, K-12, a STEM Career Pathways Curriculum that delivers innovative STEM curriculum designed to inspire the next generation of creators and innovators. Using Cubelets students learned that a robot is a machine that can SENSE, THINK, and ACT. Students were given the opportunity to explore and simulate real world applications using the basic building blocks of robots. Students left the summit with a better understanding of the different parts of a robot and how they work together.
