Wellstar College of Health and Human Services recently welcomed more than 120 professionals, students, and practitioners to campus for the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) Georgia State Clinic, an impactful day of hands-on learning, research sharing, and professional connection.
From innovative training techniques and injury recovery strategies to student research presentations and networking opportunities, the event showcased KSU’s leadership in advancing exercise science and sport management education.

Congratulations to Jasmine Paniagua on earning her Master of Social Work from , spring 2026.
Earlier this year, Jasmine, a Graduate Research Assistant to Dr. Tatiana Villarreal-Otálora, also received the Diversity in Su***de Research Poster Award at the 5th Annual Su***de Research Symposium, standing out among nearly 200 presentations as the judges were highly impressed by her presentation and thoughtful Q&A. The study was supported by the Coding Hadas Lab, a bilingual, Latino-focused research group led by Dr. Villarreal-Otálora that prepares students to conduct research-informed practice with Latino communities.
A first-generation Mexican-American and a fluent Spanish and English speaker, Jasmine is passionate about expanding access to mental health care and serving diverse communities.
We’re proud of Jasmine’s accomplishments and excited for what’s ahead!
