This week, our advanced audio production students worked behind-the-scenes in the recording process, sitting in on sessions for drums, bass, guitar, and vocals while learning how a song comes together track by track.

As with all our classes, these students got to work with real-world professionals - in this case with Grammy nominated sound engineer Steven Morrison, professor Danny Howes, and artist Stratton James.

Here’s a sneak peek into our Creative Adaptability class which teaches students the fundamentals of creativity by teaching them filmmaking. In this class, instructor and filmmaker Dale Raphael Goldberg along with instructor and filmmaker Phil Wirsig, demonstrate how to safely use lighting equipment and how to light a scene. Just another example of students learning real world skills and techniques from real world practitioners.
