This is the research group of Dr. Kimberly Linenberger Assistant Professor of Chemistry Education at Kennesaw State University.
We study how to best teach and learn chemistry through the use of surveys, interviews, and observations.

I will be presenting with my EdD student Tyler Kinner on using particulate simulations as a means of formative assessment but there are LOTs of other great talks for K-12 science teachers

Kaylee, Hailey, and Riley all did a fabulous job presenting their research today at the KSU Student Scholars Symposium! So nice to be back face to face!
Excited to announce that Dr. Cortes has accepted the KSU Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning Faculty Fellow for Assessment of Teaching and Learning position that will start Jan 2022. In this role, she will work with faculty across campus to support them in developing their understanding and use of various assessments in their courses and programs.
Excited to announce that Dr. Cortes and colleagues from across the biochemistry education community were awarded a 5 year $500,000 NSF grant to support our work in building an Inclusive Community Transforming the Assessment of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Learning in Undergraduate Programs!
