🚗📚 STEM in Action!
After reading Oscar and the Cricket, our 2nd graders became engineers! 👷‍♀️👷‍♂️ We combined our current learning about forces in science and measurement in math to design, build, and test ramps with the goal of making a toy car travel 2 feet! 📏 Through teamwork and problem-solving, we discovered how ramp height affects distance! 🚗💨

📏 Mrs. Heller’s class explored measurement with rulers today by measuring items in their pencil boxes! Through exploration and inquiry, they noticed that the same items measured more centimeters than inches. 🤔
From their observations, they concluded that inches are larger units than centimeters! 🎉📐

Mrs. Heller’s students wrote amendments they believe should be added to the Constitution. My favorite part? Many of their ideas are already included! ❤️ These kids are wise beyond their years, and I absolutely love their hearts! 🥰📜✨
