Teacher Appreciation Week - Day 1 Help us thank our teachers for all their hard work and dedication!!
Dear Parents,
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION!
A Message from the Executive Director Cindy Bishop
On Thursday April 26th, the House of Representatives voted on the state's general appropriation bill, House Bill 1.
After hours of discussion, our state budget left the House with a decrease of $24.3 million for the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP). We cannot afford to lose 2,000 CCAP seats in Louisiana.
If parents lose their child care, they may be forced to cut back on their work hours or quit their jobs entirely, which leads to an unreliable workforce and can hurt Louisiana's economy.
An effective way to advocate for the restoration of the CCAP funds is also to call your state senators' district office and the Senate Switchboard at 225 342-2040. Ask the receptionist to deliver a message to your state senator and leave your name and phone number with the message - Please restore the $24.3 million to the Child Care Assistance or CCAP Program.
Early childhood education is critically important to working moms and dads.
Estimados padres,
