Empowerment Tutoring Services is a service I started in June of 2008. As an undergraduate student at the University of New Orleans, I represented my fraternity, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., as a mentor and tutor to a young man that needed some guidance in 7th grade mathematics. As I began to see the change that was taking place, I knew that this was something that I had to keep going. I now ha

ve been a tutoring for 4 plus years. Thus far, I have worked with 3rd grade – 8th grade students in Orleans, Jefferson, and St. John the Baptist Parish. QUALIFICATIONS

PROGRAM
• Meet with parents to discuss focus area(s) in mathematics
• Plan how to reach goals with parents in focus areas
• Contact teachers on a monthly basis to get progress of student
• Work with students using a one-on-one strategy
• Discuss strengths and weaknesses with each student periodically
• Discuss educational and professional goals with students and help them to achieve them

My overall goal is to help your child better understand lessons taught in classroom with one-on-one help. I want to further educate and motivate youth to help secure a quality education because no one can take away their education. I look forward to working with your child!
