Coming back inside? Count them.
Going to lunch? Count them.
Everyone is clearly right in front of us? COUNT THEM AGAIN. 🤣

✨ What an AMAZING First Day of School at Little Road Montessori School! ✨

Our hearts are so full! 💙💛 We missed our sweet children so much, and seeing their beautiful smiles, hearing their little voices, and having our classrooms filled with joy and learning again was truly special. 🥰

We are so thankful for a wonderful first day and incredibly excited for the 2026–2027 school year ahead! We are ready for a year filled with learning, growth, friendships, discoveries, and so many beautiful memories together.

One of the hardest moments for parents is leaving a child who is crying at drop-off. But here’s something that may bring you peace of mind…

For many young children, separation anxiety is a completely normal stage of development. It simply means they have formed a strong, healthy attachment to the people they love most. As they learn that Mommy or Daddy always comes back, their confidence and independence continue to grow.

The amazing part? Most children settle within just a few minutes after their parent leaves. They begin exploring, choosing work, playing with friends, and enjoying their day with smiles and good spirit.

At Little Road Montessori School, we gently support children through this transition with consistency, patience, and lots of love. ❤️

If your child experiences separation anxiety, please don’t worry. It does not mean they dislike school or that something is wrong. It is a normal developmental milestone that many children experience.

If there is ever anything out of the ordinary or if your child needs additional support, we will always communicate with you. Otherwise, you can trust that we are helping your little one build confidence, security, and independence.
