MSK Families — We Need You!

The PTG (Parent Teacher Group) is hosting an evening meeting *Thursday, August 27 to get ready for our biggest—and only—fundraiser of the year: The Super Walk (Sept 18) 🏃‍♀️

At our meeting, we’ll be stuffing envelopes for the fundraiser and also talking about the upcoming school year and ways to make it a great one for our MSK students and families.

🤸‍♀️WELLNESS DAY 🏃

Thank you to Pepper Gallagher and Coastal Kids Occupational Therapy, PLLC for hosting 3 stations at our Wellness Day event.

Coastal Kids Occupational Therapy, PLLC is located in Arundel Maine. We provide OT, PT, Speech, Boys and Girls Empowerment groups, Social groups, Baby Groups, Parent and Community education and consultation.

We were soo happy to participate in MSK’s Wellness Day again!

Here are some topics we covered:

✨Social language paper fortune teller craft:
Focus on social wellness with an emphasis on nurturing healthy relationships through communicating effectively and finding shared interests as well as differences, with each other. Engaging in creative activities, particularly in a group, can also support reducing stress and improving mood, while encouraging social interaction.

🏃‍♀️‍➡️Gross motor movement challenge- Billie Jean Jump Challenge: Focus on full body wellness through jumping on targets in rhythm working on timing, body awareness, sequencing, communication, ideation, R/L brain body connection, strengthening and fun which raises endorphins. Great for helping with learning, sports and soo much more!
