In Loving Memory of John and Carol Harris Keeping the Memory of John and Carol alive! "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord will be saved."

I wanted to create this page to let you share pictures and stories about John and Carol...they mean a lot to me and I know they mean a lot to others out there just by seeing the amount of people who came out to support our family in the past few months. I love the legacy they left behind and it amazes me to see the amount of people that were impacted by the love they shared for people, teaching, t

I remember (vaguely) being taken to my Papaw’s chemistry class and being terrified of the students in lab coats and goggles.
I remember visiting my Memaw’s class with her deaf students and occasionally getting a present from them. I remember her showing me pictures of the special Christmas parties she held each year for these students even after they were no longer in her class (at least that is how I remember it).
I remember being on the top of the mountain in Colorado and my Papaw running into an old student.
I remember the former students who came to their funeral services and remembered them and spoke nothing but good things about them.
I know these two teachers made a difference and I hope to do the same for my students. Thank-you for your example and letting me play school on the screened-in porch with your old materials even though I “didn’t want to be a teacher.”

This was my way of having you with me at graduation yesterday, my biggest accomplishment this far. I wish you could have been their for real, but I know, no matter what, you are so proud of me and would be very excited for the plans I've made for my future. Thank you for being my inspiration. Love and miss you so much!

I hate knowing that I would be sharing all of my experiences with my deaf student with you and telling you stories from my day while student teaching and I can't because you're no longer just a phone call away. I'm graduating in four weeks and it's hurting my heart to know I won't have both of your smiling faces up in the stands cheering me on. Love you more than words can express
