Train with the oldest continuously operating wilderness medical school worldwide, SOLO, on the Kenai Peninsula! SOLO's Wilderness First Responder course is for those who work as backcountry trip leaders, camp counselors, mountain guides, river guides, and ski patrollers. This is an intensive 72-80 hour certification course nationally certified through SOLO which focuses on evaluation, treatment, and rescue for backcountry medical situations. This is a 3-year certification from SOLO Schools.
If you are working in a position of leadership in an outdoor setting or an individual who wants a high level of wilderness medical training for extended personal backcountry trips, join this class.

Handing out reserved suits in Homer last weekend. Thank you for everyone's patience over the past few months. This has been a big project. We are excited by the opportunity to bring these safety suits to so many of our community members. Too often we hear of tragedy in cold water situations. If you have already reserved your suits but have not received them yet, don't worry, we are still working on packaging them up and making phone calls.
