We had another terrific class with a great bunch of people becoming certified to get their handgun license! The classroom portion was great with a bunch of interaction with all of these students. The live fire qualifying went off without a hitch and everyone showed their proficiency with no issues. The main thing is everyone went home safe and sound. These are the type of classes that I just love teaching.

Kaase Concealed Handgun School now has the ability to offer online Texas License To Carry Handgun License Classes through Texas/US Law Shield! The class price is $49.99 and that covers both the classroom portion and the live fire qualifying. You can take the classroom portion online and will only be required to attend the range instruction portion of the class and the live fire qualification. For the Active Military and Correctional Officers who are not required to qualify, once you complete the online course, we offer you a $10 refund on the online portion that can be paid through cash, Venmo or Cash App. On the day of the qualifying, your show up time is 7:45 am. The classroom portion that you are required to attend will go from 8:00 am - 9:00 am. The qualifying will begin at 9:00 am and will be complete by 9:30 am-10:00 am, depending on how many qualifiers we have. If anyone is interested, this is the link to take the class online!

Hello!

It is that time of the year to vote for the best CHL/LTC Handgun License Training in Central Texas through the Killeen Daily Herald. We have won numerous "Best Class" awards and numerous "One of the Best Class" awards for past years beginning in 2015. This year marks our 15th year of teaching and certifying citizens to get their handgun license through our Concealed Handgun License/License To Carry Class. For this anniversary it would be amazing to regain the best class award for 2025 but can only accomplish this with your help.

Just remember that if you don't see our company name in the drop down list of the CHL/LTC Training category, you can type KAASE CONCEALED HANDGUN SCHOOL in the voting box and your vote will be counted towards us being named the best. We had another terrific class certifying Texas citizens to get their handgun license! It was a pretty good sized class and everyone in the class had such a great attitude and was very interactive. It was probably the longest class I have given in years but it still seemed to go by quickly. The students were so engaged that it made the class really fun to teach. The qualifying was safe but longer than I expected. There were quite a few pistol issues which always prolongs qualifying. The main thing is everyone qualified safely and safety is my main goal during qualifying. Thanks to everyone that came out and trusted KCHS to certify you.

Pricing

55.00 - Standard Citizens
50.00 - Veterans or Active Duty Military that will be qualifying (Must show proof of service the day of the class)
40.00 - Active Duty Military, National Guard, Reservist, Uniformed Correctional Officers and Jailers who have qualified with their agency since they are not required to qualify)
40.00 - LTC Range Qualification Only (This class is for those who have already taken the classroom portion of the LTC class and just need to qualify)
25.00 - "Just The Laws" Non-Permit Carry Laws

Even though non-permit carry is in effect, we are still holding classes for those who want to get their handgun license and those who want to carry under the Non-Permit Carry (sometimes referred to as Constitutional Carry) Law. The class will teach all of the laws for licensed and non-permit carry. The handgun license allows you to carry in places that you can not carry under the non-permit status (ex. you have to have a handgun license to carry on school premises, inside of most H.E.B stores, etc.). Also the handgun license allows you to carry while traveling and is recognized in 38 states! Anyone in the State of Texas that is 18 or older can get a handgun license and legally carry in Texas. Also, the handgun license allows you to bypass the FBI NICS background check when purchasing a firearm! The class is from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm with qualifying taking place immediately after the classroom portion. The Just The Laws Class is for those wanting to carry under the non permit carry law but still want to know the laws behind carrying legally and the use of deadly force. The "Just The Laws" class held at the same time will cover only the laws.

We held a super fun and educational License To Carry handgun license certification class yesterday July 12, 2025. It was a mid size class full of terrific students that came to learn the laws for carrying in Texas. There was great classroom interaction with a great mixture of learning and some joking around. The qualifying was very safe and productive. Everyone qualified with no problem and did it safely. It was a great day for teaching. Thanks to all that came out and allowed me to certify you to get your license. Thanks to TSSR for showing us to use your facilities again.

We had a terrific License To Carry Class yesterday, Saturday June 7th. I had the pleasure of meeting some awesome people and certifying them. The class was full of discussion about laws and scenarios. All of the students seemed to be engaged, eager to learn and in a great mood. The qualifying was great as well. We had no issues with safety or firearm malfunctions. It was a fun day to be teaching. Thanks to all the guys and gals at Texas Star Shooting Range for everything you do for us! You guys rock!

We held License certification class May 3, 2025. The class was longer than normal but it was still pretty fun and very educational. Everyone interacted in the classroom portion while learning the laws. Qualifying was great. The weather was pleasant and made for a good day to shoot. Everyone was extremely safe and there were no incidents. All the students qualified with no problem and will be receiving their LTC Handgun License. Thanks to the Texas Star Shooting Range for allowing us to use the classroom and range again. You guys are awesome!

Kaase Concealed Handgun School had such a fun and educational License To Carry class today April 26, 2025 at the Double B Range in Valley Mills! I had the privilege of meeting and certifying a really cool and fun group of future Texas LTC Handgun License Holders. All of the students were in a terrific mood today and were very interactive. There was plenty of learning and just as much humor today. Class rolled about as smoothly as it could minus a few small computer issues that were fixed quickly. The qualifying was flawless and everyone shot great. Everyone was extremely safe which always makes for a good day on the range. The range itself was great! We rebuilt the target stands and they worked perfectly. A very special thanks to Billy and Brittany for allowing me to utilize your place again! You guys are so appreciated as always!

We held another fun and educational LTC class this last Saturday the 19th. The students were in a terrific mood and came ready to get certified. Like in all classes, there was great discussion with all the students. On the live fire, everyone shot safely and qualified with no problems. It was another good day for Kaase Concealed Handgun School and our future Texas LTC holders!
