(First picture today, second picture 1 year ago)
I just finished teaching a YogaFaith class. And this was in my memories. 1 year. Grateful.
Things have changed…mostly my hair! (No regrets!)
And I am so thankful I am still doing things scared.
This is what I wrote last year and I am pretty sure someone needs to hear this…again. 👇
“Just a photo of a girl who is nervous the night before her first day teaching yoga in the morning.
But if there is one thing I have learned in these 44 years of life...you have to do it afraid.
My dad told me when I was LITTLE, toddler little, that sometimes you just have to take a deep breath and do it. And that has been how I have lived my life.
•Piano recital? Deep breath and play.
•Giving a speech in class? Deep breath and say the words.
•First home visit as a social worker? Deep breath and knock on the door.
•Going live on Facebook for the first time? Deep breath and push the red button.
•And tomorrow at 5:30 am, deep breath and teach them how to take deep breaths.
Someone needs to hear this:
Do it afraid you beautiful human. Someone needs you to show up. Someone will miss out if you don’t.
Deep breath and go....”
