Happy birthday to my all-time most favorite composer EVER! Ludwig Van Beethoven! My favorite piece to play on the piano is his “Pathetique”; all three movements. My first recital piece was his “Fur Elise”. The incredible fact about him is he slowly went deaf and still wrote incredible, beautiful music; one of those pieces being “Moonlight Sonata.” Notice how it was written lower on the keyboard. There aren’t any high notes because he could feel the vibration of those lower tones. Check some of his music out!

Zaldy Rogero, Mark Morris High choral director and VERY talented musician, on upright bass, and I jamming and sight-reading “O Tannenbaum”, in the style of Vince Guaraldi; the great jazz pianist who composed the Charlie Brown music. Besides directing choir, Zaldy plays multiple instruments and is amazing! We just came across the arrangement today. ’bass
