Do you have KCAL for 1st period? Make sure you get on the bus at your home campus on time! TCHS shuttles leave for KCAL at 7:10am; all other campuses leave at 7:20am.⁠

KCAL does have a dress code. Students are required to, at a minimum, follow District dress code. As a professional campus, it is expected for students to dress in preparation for the workforce. Students may be required to wear program specific clothing while in class. ⁠

Hi KHS family! We wanted to update you with a good to know summary because we are back full force and there are some fun glitches!

In summary:
The schedules all the kids are finding are INCORRECT and INCOMPLETE. Please tell our wonderful students that we are proud of their resourcefulness but to “slow your roll” because we are continually working on classes through the first week of school.

3200 plus kids take a lot of time to plan for! The master schedule is a huge undertaking, as in around 7ish MONTHS. Please have patience and lots of grace, we LOVE our students and are working hard for them! 💙 (most of us have kids that are KHS students too)

KISD is switching to Microsoft and we are all having some e-mail issues. This may mean delays, and please check your spam/junk/promos/ possibly your emails from 1992….🤪

TRAFFIC ALERT
Ridge Point Parkway between Marshall Ridge Parkway and Hwy. 377 will close intermittently next week to allow sewer line construction to cross the road as part of the Center Stage project.

Crews expect to close the road at 7 a.m. and reopen it by 6 p.m. each day Monday, July 24 through Friday, July 28. During the daily closure, drivers will be detoured using Marshall Ridge Parkway and Mt. Gilead Road.

Since the closure itself is directly west of Milestone Church’s northern driveway, drivers will want to access businesses near the Hwy. 377/Ridge Point intersection from the highway. Residents who live west of the roundabout will also continue to have access to their homes via Ridge Point.

KHS -it’s time to get ready for the 2023-24 school year!

John Allison has been named Interim Superintendent of Schools for Keller ISD starting July 1. The Board of Trustees made the decision in a unanimous vote at a special called meeting of the School Board. Allison currently serves as Associate Superintendent of Education.

Allison will lead the district as the Board searches for a permanent replacement for Dr. Rick Westfall, who is retiring after 31 years in Texas public education and six years as Superintendent of KISD. Dr. Westfall’s last day acting as Superintendent in the district will be June 30, 2023. He will remain an employee of the school district until December 31, 2023, to assist with the transition of leadership.
