There are so many things I love about living in Keller. One of my favorites is the strong sense of community. The Greater Keller Chamber of Commerce partnered with the Keller ISD Education Foundation to support the students of Keller ISD at the Back to School Bash by donating 1,000 backpacks. Another local organization near and dear to my heart, National Charity League Keller, supported by stuffing backpacks this morning.

The Chamber, the Foundation and NCL always step up to support our community and especially our kids. Thank you so very much!!

I would also like to thank everyone who donated supplies to fill the backpacks, donated full backpacks, volunteered to stuff backpacks, and to Reagan Wallick for transporting the 305 full backpacks from my house to FRHS early this am. You are why I am proud to be part of the Keller community and Keller ISD!!

What an exciting start to the week! Here we are with half of the backpacks donated for the Keller Independent School District Back to School Bash!

Huge THANK YOU to our generous supporters Sloan and Staci Harris for personally donating over 350 backpacks for KISD students!

Shout out to the Greater Keller Chamber for hosting a community backpack drive, making sure students have a great start to the school year!

And last but not least, thank you to Bev Dixon for leading volunteer efforts and to NCL for helping us stuff backpacks!!

Together, we can do so much to impact education in Keller ISD!

Keller ISD was recently named a "District of Distinction" by the Texas Educational Theatre Association! Keller ISD is one of only seven districts in the state to receive this honor. And it's no wonder.. we already knew our theatre departments are IN👏CRE👏DI👏BLE👏, right?

And that's all thanks to our truly gifted theatre directors, from Pre-K to High School, who show boundless drive, passion, and dedication to their students every day. Theatre teachers: thank you for everything you do for the students of KISD and for impacting your communities in such a positive, uplifting way.

From TxETA: The First Annual TxETA Awards of Distinction celebrates high achievement in the field of theatre across schools, colleges, and districts. These exceptional institutions have showcased remarkable talent and dedication, and TXETA is delighted to honor them for their outstanding contributions to the Texas Educational Theatre Community.

Leave your congrats for a KISD Theatre Teacher below and make sure they know how loved they are!
