Erika Hernandez, Office Manager

Erika Hernandez joined our Spanish Schoolhouse family as our new Office Manager. Erika has 11 years of experience in office administration and is a proud veteran who served honorably in the Army from 2006 to 2010. She is dedicated to helping our school run smoothly, address requests, and provide the assistance and guidance that our parents and children require.

Karla Garza, Teacher Coordinator

Karla Garza was born and raised in Mexico. She earned her bachelor's degree in communication while residing in Spain. She joined Spanish Schoolhouse Keller family in 2019 as a teacher when she realized her genuine passion for early education. She recently accepted her new role as teaching coordinator and is excited to be able to help her beloved Spanish schoolhouse family from a different perspective and ensure it remains a thriving and trustworthy institution.

Luz Alfonso, Stay & Play Coordinator

Luz Alfonso is from Puerto Rico. Her first season as a teacher at Spanish School House was in 2019. Her favorite pastimes include reading, sewing, and learning about human behavior and motivation, as well as validating her vocation for education in teaching and learning to value the abilities of others, emphasizing not only the application of knowledge, but also respect, love, and service to others.

Mari is originally from Venezuela. She holds a bachelor's degree in computer science and worked in telecommunications before moving to the U.S. in 1999. Mari began her career at Spanish Schoolhouse as a teacher at the Southlake school in 2008, then moved to the Keller school in 2011 to become Director.

In May 2021, Mari received her Associates in Child Develpment from the Child Care World Wide Institute (CCWWI), graduating Magna Cum Laude, and at the time setting a record for the highest grades for the CCWWI program. Mari is always seeking to learn more and improve the educational experience for children. Mari is committed to encouraging bilingualism among children because of the cognitive advantages it gives them, and the many doors it opens for their future. She loves her role in Spanish Schoolhouse and being able to share her language and culture with her students, parents, and coworkers alike.

While her favorite sport is baseball, growing up she played volleyball, basketball, baseball, and soccer.

She loves to read, Karaoke, the beach, and enjoys photography.

The best part of August is making new amigos y amigas! 👦👧Each of our students is unique and special ~ and we love learning all about them with our Aug. Theme – All About Me! ⛹🤸🏽‍♀️🛼⚽🎨🏊🏽‍♀️

It is hard to believe that this school year is almost over! As we get ready for our four-year-old classes (Argentina and Venezuela) Pre-K graduation, we ask that all students be at the school no later than 9:20AM tomorrow Tuesday, May 23rd.
