When a student recommended this book to me, I popped in my earbuds, turned on the audiobook, and went for a walk. Within half a block I was laughing out loud, thinking more deeply about my own relationship with music, and appreciating the connections that all of us who learn music share with one another.
We’ve chosen Whole Notes by Ed Ayres for our next book club book. Join us for a discussion on July 25th!

Happy Fri-yay! May Happy Hour is TONIGHT and we've been working on something special. Our new Piano Ensemble will start off the evening by playing 5 pieces we've learned and prepared especially for tonight... it's our debut :)
We'll also hear solo piano, guitar, singing, and some impromptu duets.
Happy Hour is a time to gather and make music without pressure or egos. We welcome all playing with open hearts and ears and as always, it's open to the community. Come to listen or to play.
See you tonight at 7!
Drop me a message or comment if you have questions or want more info đź’ś

🌧️ 🌺 I can’t think of a more perfect way to spend a rainy spring Saturday than playing music with friends and then discussing a book we’ve all found to be meaningful and helpful.
Book club meets tonight (Saturday) at 6:30. đź’ś

Both pianos had their tunings today so they’d sound good together for our new piano ensemble!
It was a dream come true to add the Steinway to our studio last year, but we still love the Samick so it was nice to get her spruced up.
Our members named the pianos Gertrude and Alice. Can you guess why?

Oh my goodness, that was so much fun! We had our first piano ensemble rehearsal tonight I couldn’t be more impressed with the way everyone showed up. Their music was well prepared, but more than that, they came with open hearts and listening ears.
Thank you for being brave, trusting each other, and supporting one another. I can’t wait until next week!
If you’re interesting in playing with us, send me a message and I’ll get you the information for next month’s rehearsals 💜
