In honor of Black History Month, the Wallace E. Mason Library - Keene State College will be featuring a different individual every day on our social media platforms. Today we are recognizing Bryan Stevenson.
Bryan Stevenson is a lawyer, social justice activist, founder of the Equal Justice Initiative, and a law professor at New York University School of Law. As a lawyer, Stevenson has helped save dozens of people from the death penalty. He also currently works to create community-based reform practices to prevent juveniles from being tried as adults, abolishing zero-tolerance policies in schools, and offering community service alternatives to juvenile detention.
