Hello all,
I would like to start by wishing everyone a wonderful Father's Day. There is nothing quite like the love, guidance, and support a father shares. Thank you to all the fathers out there for the work you do.
As many of you may now know, my father, Adam Armstrong, founder and head of Red River Paleontology, passed away peacefully in his home on April 15, 2025.
It has been quite some time since you last heard from me, as I simply did not have the words to say. Adam's death dealt a major blow to Red River Paleontology and to me personally. For many years, this business was more than just a collection of fossils. It was the result of countless hours spent collecting, researching, preparing specimens, attending shows, and sharing a passion for paleontology with others.
Many of you knew Adam personally. Whether you met him at a fossil show, purchased a specimen from him, spoke with him online, or simply followed his work, you likely experienced the enthusiasm and knowledge he brought to the hobby. Paleontology was not just a business to him, it was a lifelong passion that he was always eager to share with others.
Over the past year, I have taken time to reflect and determine the future of Red River Paleontology. While there have been challenges along the way, one thing has remained clear: I intend to continue Adam's legacy as he wished I would. The fossil collection remains in my hands, and I will continue working to preserve and share the specimens and knowledge he spent a lifetime building.
I would like to thank everyone who has reached out with kind words and support. Your messages have meant more than I can adequately express.
