A wonderful day of learning, teamwork, and community connection!

Cheshire Career Center Horticulture students recently spent the day planting alongside Johnathan Daniels Pre-K students in their community garden. It was a great opportunity for students of all ages to work together, share knowledge, and help the garden grow.

Thank you to everyone who made this hands-on experience possible. We look forward to seeing the garden flourish throughout the growing season!

Dear Graduates, Families, and Guests,
We are incredibly excited to celebrate this milestone with you today! As we prepare for the ceremony, we want to share an important update regarding the weather so everyone can stay safe and comfortable.

The temperature is expected to climb above 95°F, with a high heat index to match. Because our ceremony will last approximately 75 to 90 minutes, we want to ensure all guests are prepared.

Watch from Home via Live Stream For guests who are sensitive to extreme heat, or for those who would simply prefer a cooler environment, we cordially invite you to watch the entire ceremony in the comfort of your own home. The event will be broadcast live starting at the beginning of the ceremony at the following link: https://khs.keeneschoolsnh.org/news-media/sau29-live-stream

For those attending in person, we kindly ask that you take the following precautions:

Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water before and during the ceremony. Water stations will be available throughout the venue.

Dress Comfortably: Lightweight, breathable clothing is highly recommended.

Sun Protection: Don't forget your sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat or visor for shade.

Cooling Stations: If you or a loved one begins to feel overwhelmed by the heat, cool-down areas and medical staff will be clearly marked and available to assist you immediately.

Thank you for your cooperation in making this a safe, memorable, and joyful celebration for our graduates!

Meet 2026 KHS Valedictorian, Lucia Pierannunzi! ✨🎓

Throughout her time at KHS, Lucia embraced every opportunity to challenge herself, grow through new experiences, and support those around her. She encourages younger students to take risks, learn from mistakes, and never hesitate to ask questions or seek guidance from teachers, coaches, and peers.

This fall, Lucia will attend Clarkson University, where she will major in Chemical Engineering. She reflects on her years at KHS with gratitude for the encouragement, opportunities, and friendships that helped shape her journey.

Congratulations, Lucia, on this outstanding achievement. We are proud of all you have accomplished and wish you continued success in this exciting next chapter.

Honoring tradition, we will insert a printed publication into the Monadnock Shopper on June 17, where you can learn more about our top students. Don’t miss it!

If you’ve discovered that your teen is va**ng, it’s only natural to feel a range of emotions. But remember to be patient and ready to listen. Your goal is to have a conversation with your teen.
So, first things first, remember that teens who feel supported are more likely to quit va**ng for good.
Secondly, keep in mind that ni****ne affects your teen’s developing brain and leads to addiction, and it will take time for their ni****ne cravings to subside when they try to quit.

Finally, it could take many attempts for your teen to quit va**ng for good. If they slip up, it doesn’t mean they’ve failed. It just means they’re human.

It's the home stretch for the Keene High School Class of 2026!

On Monday, seniors gathered to celebrate one of their final high school traditions: Senior Sunset. As the sun set on their time at Keene High, students came together to reflect on memories, friendships, accomplishments, and the exciting opportunities that lie ahead.

Senior Sunset is a special reminder of how far these students have come and all they have achieved during their high school journey.

Congratulations to our seniors as they count down the final days before graduation.

Our CCC Fire Science class had a great hands-on learning experience with instructors Captain Pearsall and Henry Wall of Keene Fire, along with Casey Burrage from the NH Fire Academy.

Students had the opportunity to train in both vehicle and structure fire scenarios, gaining valuable real-world experience and building critical firefighting skills.

A huge thank you to Rindge Fire for their generous donation, which helped make these practical training days at the NH Fire Academy possible. We are grateful for the support of our local fire service partners and their commitment to educating the next generation of firefighters.
