Finger painting is more than just messy fun! Our young toddlers are building fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, creativity, and sensory awareness while exploring colors and textures. Every little swipe and squish is a chance to learn, create and grow!

Emotions chalk jump! Our preschool students are jumping from feeling to feeling using their gross motor skills. Feelings are also called emotions. Here are the feelings we are working on: angry, excited, happy, disappointed, sad, and nervous or embarrassed. Each student jumped to an emotion and had to discuss what kind of things may cause that specific emotion.

Our Preschool Pathways students (older 2's) had fun exploring their senses. They practiced sight by looking at themselvesin the mirror and identifying parts of their faces. They also explored their sense of smell while painting with scented paint. Learning through hands-on experiences makes learning fun and memorable.

This week our preschoolers have been learning about their bodies and proper handwashing techniques. From comparing how big their feet are and measuring how tall they are, to learning the importance of proper handwashing, we're discovering that our bodies are amazing. Learning, growing, and having fun every step of the way.

This little one had so much fun practicing a simple but important skill - putting objects in and out of a bucket. This activity helps him develop hand-eye coordination, problem solving abilities, spatial awareness, and understanding of cause and effect. It also encourages independence as toddlers learn what their hands can do. Sometimes the simplest activities create the biggest leaning moments!

What a jam-packed first day of school! Our little learners jumped right into a day full of learning, smiles, laughter, exploring , and all kinds of fun. From making new friends to discovering new activities and getting settled into their new classroom routines, our students made the first day one to remember. Here's to an amazing school year!!
