Good Morning Class of 2020!

For the majority of you, today is your last day of high school. Congratulations! The past four years have been amazing and crazy and definitely some for the history books. Take your last day to thank your faculty and staff for their diligent work to educate you, not just during the past four months, but over your entire time at Keene High School. Thank your friends, many of whom will be in your life forever, for the memories you have made thus far in your journey. Thank your supporters. Whether that be your parents, guardian, siblings, they have helped you get to this moment. Be thankful for your high school experience. Keene High School has shaped us into the individuals we are today, and helped nurture us into the people we will become. So, just as the Beatles said in their 1968 classic Blackbird, “we were only waiting for this moment to arise.” Well, that moment has risen, hasn’t it? All of you have taken broken wings, and you are ready to fly. I could not be more grateful to have been on this adventure with all of you, and I cannot wait to see where each and every one of you takes those wings.

ATTENTION SENIORS! If you aren’t able to purchase a “KHS 2020 Graduate” yard sign, our community members have donated several and they are all in the ground in front of KHS! If you would like one for your yard, feel free to take one! Thank you to our supportive parents, KHS families, and community members for making this possible!

To begin week seven of Senior Spotlight we would like to feature Sophie Craven! Sophie will be attending the Maine College of Art to study painting and ceramics!

Happy Friday Seniors. As many of you know, tomorrow was supposed to be our Prom; our day to dress up and spend the evening with our best friends, and one of our last hoorahs as high school students. This week has been tough for everyone, from online learning to AP testing - with the day May 16th hanging over our heads the entire time. Tomorrow is going to be beautiful, sunny and 70 degrees, a perfect New Hampshire spring day.

For those of you that have already purchased your dress, suit, or whatever stunning outfit you had planned, I encourage you to get up tomorrow, get ready, and put it on. Go outside, take some pictures, and please DM them to the class Instagram (), as we want to post a video compilation of everyone’s pictures! I understand how much many of you had been looking forward to this day, and as much as I wish I could see you all tomorrow, please know that Class Council is still dedicated to making Starry Night a reality. Remember that despite everything going on in the world, tomorrow is still your day to shine.
