The BodyWorks staff is entirely made up of Exercise Science majors who are available to help you with your exercises, workout plan and your fitness goals. Our staff develops their skills through practical application of the knowledge their gained in the classroom and through supervision by degreed, certified professionals.

Rec Sports Bi-Tri Challenge is 3 weeks away!

Registration will be at the front desk of the KSC Recreation Center. These events are open to all KSC students and Recreation Center members. Interested Non Recreation Center members and KSC Alumni will be placed on a Wait List and notified if space becomes available. Fee for this group will be $15 for the event.

WHICH EVENT IS THE ONE FOR YOU?

Biathlon Event includes:
-30-minute bike ride on spin bikes set at pre-determined gear

-20-minute walk/jog on treadmill set at an incline of 1.

Triathlon Event includes:
-10 minute swim in pool (swim aids available if wanted: kickboards, noodles, aqua jogger belts)

-20-minute bike ride on spin bikes in aerobics studio set at pre-determined gear

-15-minute walk/jog on treadmill set at an incline of 1.

What to bring:
bathing suit and bath towel (triathlon)
dry exercise clothes (triathlon)
running shoes
cycling shoes (optional)
small sweat towel
Ipod for personal use
Water bottle

Hello. My name is Allison Martin. I am an Exercise Science major here at
Keene. Once I graduate I plan on going to graduate school to pursue a career
as a Physical Therapist. I enjoy running 5ks and eventually want to run half
marathons and marathons.

Don't forget to sign up for the BodyWorks Fitness challenge happening this Friday, November 21! Sign up in the gym either in the lobby or at the third floor desk! There is a men's and a women's competition:

Men:
40 yd. dash
Bench press
Deadlift
Back squat
Pull-ups

Women:
40 yd. dash
Deadlift
plank
bodyweight squats for 1 minute
Assisted chin-ups

***The top finisher in each competition will receive a $25 owl card.

All other participants have the chance to win one of two free semester of personal training prizes!!
