More than a dozen older adults are on the path to better fitness and mobility thanks to KSC Exercise Science students. For their final project, these students from Dr. Mel Adams' HPEX-332 Exercise Testing & Programming class were each paired with a senior adult client. The students gave each client a fitness and mobility test. Following the assessment, the students designed a short fitness program for their clients who went home with a plan to improve their fitness. Bringing the community into the classroom to improve quality of life is a part of academic life at KSC!

New Hampshire U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (right) recently visited KSC to get an up close look at our growing optics program. Keene State is helping supply New Hampshire's optics industry with a well trained workforce through the college's innovative Precision Optics Certificate Program. Students cam be workforce ready by completing 30-credits in just two semesters! And ... if they'd like to make it a four year degree, its a seamless transition. Workforce development and academic excellence go hand-in-hand in Keene State Academic Life.
