Welcome to our new 6th grade science teacher, Marni LeFevre! This will be Ms. LeFevre's 11th year teaching and she has a BA from Utah State and a Masters in Education.

She loves to be outside skiing, biking, hiking, practicing falconry with her hawk, and learning about science in the world around us.

We are so excited to have her at KJH!

We would like to welcome our new Spanish teacher, Ana Tavera! This will be Ms. Tavera's 13th year teaching overall. She has both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master's Degree from the University of Utah. She likes to run and hike, and she is a cat owner. We aee excited to have Ms. Tavera join the Panter Family!

We wish a warm welcome to Traci Sutherland, our new couselor! She is excited to be joining the Kearns Junior High Counseling team this year. She is currently working on my Masters degree at Utah Valley University. When she's not helping students or doing homework, she likes to read, paddleboard, play card games, and spend time with her family and friends. She is looking forward to being a KJH Panther!

A group of dedicated Kearns Junior staff members attended the AVID Conference together. We are excited to share what we learned with the rest of the faculty and use new strategies to help students reach new levels of learning!

Join us in welcoming Kason Kendall as the new Assistant Principal at Kearns Junior! Kason is a social studies teacher, coach, and lifelong learner who is excited to join the Kearns Junior High community as an assistant principal. He enjoys history, running, building relationships with students, supporting teachers, and creating a school where everyone feels valued and challenged to grow.

We miss our students and are looking forward to a great 2026-2027 school year! We will be dropping by your home next week (Tuesday-Thursday 10am-2pm) to visit each student and give them a gift and some back to school information. We will leave this at yoyr door of no one is home.
