With the high chance of rain tomorrow we will be moving our concert to Tuesday May 28th at 6:00pm

Should it also rain Tuesday we will hold the concert indoors.

Band Students should arrive by 5:45 at the latest. Attire should be school dress code with a dark top preferred.

Hello There EPPA Band. I am looking closely at the weather for our concert on Thursday and rain is looking likely. We may be moving towards our rain date next Tuesday(5/28).

I will make an official call tomorrow, announce it here, as well as let the kids know in rehearsal.

Hi there everyone. I can't seem to catch a break this year and am sick again. With our concert coming next week please encourage your children to practice their music this weekend, and if comfortable to practice one of their solo tunes for the concert.

🌟Concert and May Rehearsal Adjustments!🌟

Beginning May 1st ALL band members will have 3:30-4:30 rehearsals on both Wednesdays and Fridays until the concert.

Concert Date:
May 23rd 6pm in the EPPA outdoor amphitheater

Rain Date:
May 28th 6pm

🌟Hey there, Shining Knights! I hope everyone had a restful and relaxing winter break full of practicing their instruments. As we look towards doing an outdoor concert in the spring,

Band Rehearsals will be resuming starting next week 1/10/2024 with the following schedule:

4th and 5th grade band: Wednesdays 3:30-4:30

6th-11th grade band: Fridays 3:30-4:30

The weekly instrument lesson schedule will remain the same.

🌟hey there, Shining Knights! It’s been a while since we’ve been able to give an update and we just wanted to share a few recent pictures of our fantastic students. We are so proud of you guys! You’ve been so dedicated to your musicianship and it definitely shows!

We have all faced many unexpected challenges and you continue to put your best selves forward, everyday. Your determination to do the right things inspires us to keep pushing for you. These obstacles now, are teaching you how to stick with each other and stand up for yourselves and your educators. There isn’t a more important lesson we can teach you than that. Thank you so much. It matters. 🫶🏻

We wish we could be half as legendary as you. We are proud to teach you. You make us want to be better people and we will always have your backs. We’re never too far away. Keep shining, crew. ♥️

🌟🎶🌟 This Shining Knight Spotlight is extra special because this is Sofia’s second school year with us! Sofia is one of our 4th grade Euphonium players and has always been so dedicated to everyone she meets. She knew she wanted to be in band with us when we first met at her 3rd grade orientation last year.

⚔️if you were in charge of planning a concert at school what 3 musicians would you bring?
“Korn, Panic at the Disco, Fallout Boy… it’s gonna be sick.”

⚔️what advice do you have for younger shining knights in training?
“Mrs. Kozak has always said, if you need help ask for it.”

⚔️what is something you enjoy doing outside of school?
“Playing softball… and going to Ren Fest… but we couldn’t go this year because the tickets were sold out! HOW does that even happen?!”

⚔️what is a favorite random fact you know?
“Back in the day, to prevent people from turning into vampires they were buried with their feet up. Don’t ask me how I know that.”

⚔️what is your favorite thing about being part of EPPA knights band?
“Getting to hang out with Mrs. Kozak and Mr. Blom… low brass… They were my music educators at my old school too. Band is really important for a lot of kids…”

Sofia, you are proof that what we do is important. We are so proud of you. We have watched you grow and learn and be legendary. We are honored to know you, sweet girl. ♥️

🌟Hey there Knights, We have some heavy news.

Unfortunately, due to some unfortunate and unforeseen administrative choices, we are having to cancel all full band rehearsals for the foreseeable future. Small group instrumental lessons will continue as scheduled.

🌟Howdy hey, Knights! We are so looking forward to our performance at the Fall Festival tomorrow, Friday October 27! 🍂 🍎

Participating students are to report to the band room by 4:30. 🍁There will be no Squire Band (6-8 grade) rehearsals after school.

We are so proud of our Knights and can’t wait to show you all we’ve learned together, so far, this year! The best is yet to come! ♥️

🌟it was a super busy week for the Knights putting their final touches on their pieces for the upcoming Fall Festival! 🍁

For this week’s Shining Knight Spotlight we would like to introduce one of our 6th grade Squire Band flautists, Syanne! Mr. Blom and Mrs. Kozak chose Syanne this week for her incredible dedication to practicing! That is one of the hardest things about learning an instrument and she is facing it head on! 💪

🛡️what is your favorite subject in school?
“I love science. Especially eco-sciences. I love learning about the earth and ways we can help it.”

🛡️ If you were in charge of planning a concert for the school, which three artists would you bring?
“Ooo! Taylor swift, Ariana Grande, and Beyoncé! Their songs are just so catchy!”

🛡️ What is some advice you can give younger Shining EPPA Knights in Training?
“This is my family motto: don’t complain about the problem; fix the problem.”

🛡️ What is a goal you want to accomplish in your lifetime?
“I want to be able to learn the flute really well… I want to be able to pick it up and just play it beautifully” 🥹

🛡️what is your favorite thing about yourself?
“My freckles! I love love my freckles! I just don’t think I would look right without them.”

🛡️what is your favorite thing about being in the EPPA Knight Squire Band?
“I love all of the other people in band and hearing us all play and work together!”
