Our Valentines Day celebration will be held on Friday February 13. Children are invited to bring valentines to share with their friends. We will be celebrating all day with games, crafts, special treats and stories. Please let me know if you would like a list of names. No need to bring a box as we will be making one!

Blanket fort for the win!

This December, we are reading The Gingerbread Man and creating our very own. Unbeknownst to the children, our gingerbread man will make a getaway! I am seeking assistance in collecting postcards or letters from as far-flung locations as possible, detailing “sightings” of our gingerbread man. If you have family or friends residing outside Nebraska or the United States who would be willing to participate in this project, I would be extremely grateful. The letter/postcards should include the location and the gingerbread man's activities, concluding with - “the gingerbread man ran away when he spotted me. Saying-“run run as fast as you can you can’t catch me. I’m the gingerbread man.” I will provide the mailing address for interested participants. Thank you for your involvement.

Our annual Christmas party will take place on Friday, December 19th. Everyone is invited to wear their Christmas pajamas. Children are welcome to participate in a book exchange; please bring a wrapped children's book if participating.

I appreciate the efforts of everyone who participated in our friendship feast today. Regrettably, I was too busy serving food to take a picture. We had a vast array of dishes, including pepperoni pizza, fruit pizza, pasta salad, salami, cheese and crackers, chicken sausage links, raspberries, blueberries, carrots with ranch. Our conversation centered around gratitude for the variety of food and the kindness of our friends who shared with us. We also emphasized the value of good manners and being considerate when sampling new cuisine.
