The time has come for our 2nd annual Young American's for Banquet 2016! It will be held Thursday May 5th at the Younes Center. Invitations will be sent out in the next week! There will be a Young Americans for Freedom meeting tomorrow at lunch in room 207! I will not be there so our vice president Heidi Boteo will be conducting the meeting. I hope that many of you go because she has some good stuff to talk about!

We are incredibly honored to have been chosen as the Chapter of the year! Next year can only get better!

Although the past academic year was Kearney High School YAF's first, the chapter did not let that hinder it from reaching the community in every way possible.

As today is Memorial Day, we are young people would like to recognize all those who have fought and died for the freedom that we enjoy today. No matter what branch they were a part of or what conflict they fought in we honor them and count them as true American heroes!

Our inaugural YAF banquet was a huge success!!! We were very honored to have so many people come to support us! It was very amazing having the once and a life time opportunity of getting to meet Former US Attorney General John Ashcroft. We were also very grateful to have Nebraska Attorney General Doug Peterson and Former Nebraska Governor Kay Orr there to be a part of our program. The school assembly was also a huge success as we had around 600 students come hear conservative thoughts from such a well known man. We have loved every minute of this year and we can't wait to see what the future of this young yet fast growing organization holds.
