Our Instrument Intro Night is happening tomorrow night (Thursday, August 27th) from 5:30-7:30 upstairs at Yanda's Music! Students can try playing the violin, viola, and cello for the first time. Yanda's Music will have instruments available to rent, and volunteers will be on site to help with sizing. We hope to see you there!

Please note: Free/reduced rate instruments for students participating in free/reduced lunch are not available at this event. Please register your student at www.kpsorchestra.org and one of the directors will send home more information! Free/reduced rate instruments are available on a first come, first serve basis - limited quantities available.

Calling all 5th grade parents!

5th grade orchestra registration is now open! If your student is interested in learning the violin, viola, or cello this year, check out www.kpsorchestra.org ! 🎻 Registrations are due by Friday, August 28th. Classes start the week of August 31st!

We will also be hosting an Instrument Intro Night at Yanda's Music on Thursday, August 27th from 5:30-7:30. Students can try out the violin, viola, and cello, be measured for the correct instrument size, and rent an instrument for the year! Can't wait to see you there!

UNK All-State Orchestra Camp invites high school string students to participate in this annual music event on Saturday, August 29, focusing on All-State Orchestra excerpts prep, ensemble techniques, masterclass, and performances. Exciting news about the Central Nebraska Youth Orchestra Retreat! Thanks to generous sponsors, the registration fee has been able to be lowered from $275 to $200. Those that have already paid will receive a refund at the event. Register before August 7th to make sure you get an retreat t-shirt! :)

Our Intro to Strings Camp wrapped up today- students had fun learning the basics of playing violin, viola, or cello.

Day 5 of Symphonic Camp. We had a great day listening to chamber ensembles, enjoying snow cones, and playing through our music one final time. Thanks for an awesome week - have a great summer! Remember to practice 😉⛱️☀️
