The University of Nebraska–Kearney's Department of Art and Design offers majors in a wide variety of areas including visual communication and design, drawing, painting, glass, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, photography, illustration, art history and art education. ment, we strive to develop courses which are not only educational, but also prepare our graduates for entry into their careers in art. We offer many extra opportunities for students to gain a richer educational experience as well, from scholarships to visiting artists and gallery shows to workshops and national competitions to extra-curricular art clubs and working with clients in the community, there are many ways that we strive to form lasting and productive professional relationships and learning encounters among those who are a part of our programs.
