Attention GI Bill® students! Make sure you do the following to help make sure you receive your benefits without delay:
✅ If required, verify monthly enrollment each month.
✅ Ensure VA has most current cell phone and/or email, as well as mailing address
✅ Update banking information
✅ Stay in contact with your SCO and let them know if you need to make a change to your schedule

Please remember that your Monthly Housing Allowance may take up to ten business days for you to receive (five days for direct deposit).

Veterans can log into their account any time to instantly view payment history and benefits status.

Remember:

In addition to tuition and fees, the Post-9/11 GI Bill® also pays a Monthly Housing Allowance, MHA for short, based on a few main factors.
MHA is based on military Basic Allowance for Housing or BAH for an E-5 with dependents. From there, VA considers a few other factors to determine how much MHA you’ll receive.
