Not to downplay the seriousness of the situation but it was an employee not an Instructor, this could have been anyone that works for the NRA. It of course happened during a training exercise so the media will hype it up. This is an example of how it can happen to anyone.

Police said an employee at the National Rifle Association’s National Fi****ms Museum accidentally shot himself during fi****ms training Thursday afternoon.

Yes, we harp on it a LOT! CHOOSE YOUR INSTRUCTORS CAREFULLY! No specific background, be it military, police, private security, or civilian, guarantees that he or she knows what he or she is doing. At no time should the potential risks of ANY activity that is a part of the curriculum, not be significantly outweighed by the perceived benefit. Unortuortunately, a woman lost her life due to gross negligence on the part of the instructors involved in this "training" class:

In addition to the use of social media as a training tool, FDLE reports show a departure from generally accepted safety protocols, questionable leadership and a lack of accountability at PGPD.

Upcoming Classes:

On November 19th we will be doing a Missouri Concealed Carry Class in Kearney, the class fee is $99 and we supply the fi****ms, ammo, eye and ear protection, targets and range fees. This course covers all of the fundamentals of pistol shooting, maintenance and storage of fi****ms as well as Missouri Law.

On November 20th we will be doing a Beginners Pistol Class, the class fee is $60 and we supply the fi****ms, ammo, eye and ear protection, targets and range fees. This course starts from the ground up, we will cover the fundamentals of pistol shooting, maintenance and storage of fi****ms.
