Taylor Camp, Kauai

Here's a picture of the third painting I did since I started up again, it's been 20 years since I painted on canvas. It's of Ha'ena.

I pulled my paints out about three weeks ago and started painting again. I enjoy it after a long hard day of work. This one came out pretty nice in person the photos don't show off the colors. I'm going to give it to my mother on her birthday at the end of the month. My inspiration was this vintage 1970s postcard of Lumahai beach, Kauai.

The hippie commune that Elizabeth Taylor's brother founded Thanks to a bitter disagreement between Elizabeth Taylor's brother and the Hawaiian government, a group of hippies were able to create their own utopia on Kauai in the 70s.
