Reva Paget is a violinist dedicated to bringing alternative styles to the forefront of traditional string education. She was a founding member of the University of North Texas Jazz Strings while pursuing her undergraduate degree in violin performance,and spent her free time studying under fiddling greats like Matt Glasser, Darol Anger, and jazz legend David Baker. She holds a masters degree from A

rizona State University in violin pedagogy and has mentored students with a blend of Suzuki and alternative styles for over 20 years. As a member of Celtic folk groups the BorderCollies and the BlarneyGirls, she has performed at festivals and venues across the United States, and released 5 albums of traditional and original Scottish and Irish music. From her roots as a young classical violinist, she has embraced improvisation in rock, jazz, fiddle, blues, Celtic, and a myriad of styles from around the world. Reva has a passion for educating students to use their instruments to not only learn from great composers and repertoire, but to learn to create music themselves!
