District Jazz Festival! 🎵

Some scenes from the District Jazz Festival last night. Not only did our Jazz Band get to perform, but they also got to listen to several other junior highs in the district, as well as a professional Jazz combo! To top the night off, our students got to go on stage and perform with the professional jazz musicians. What a fun night!!

On March 16th, the Intermediate band had the chance to perform at the District Festival with four other junior high bands from the district!
●
This is such a fun performance opportunity for the students! They not only get to perform the pieces they've been working on all term, but they also get to listen to some of their fellow amazing junior high bands in Davis School District!
●
Intermediate Band sounded fantastic and we are so incredibly proud of them and all their hard work this year! Congratulations on a great performance!! 👏

Shout out time! 🎉

We're takin' it back this afternoon to 2 weeks ago when Advanced Band performed at the State Junior High Band Festival at the University of Utah!
●
This is a very rigorous process starting all the way back in December! Bands all across the state submit recordings, and only 30 are chosen to perform in March. Centennial was one of those!
●
Not ONLY were we able to perform, but we received a superior rating (the highest possible rating) from the judges.
●
🌟 Most importantly 🌟 the students were able to perform some amazing music and inspire the audience there!! Congratulations Advanced Band!! We're so proud of you! 👏
