Our 5th grade students wrapped up their ELA unit on all things corn with a field trip to Schmalz’s Adventure Zone on Friday!

Students put their learning into action as they made their way through the corn maze and learned more about the process of growing and harvesting corn. They also had the opportunity to learn about apple growing and the delicate process of picking apples from the trees. 🍏

Of course, there was plenty of time for some fun, too! We couldn’t have asked for better fall weather, as our students enjoyed the sunshine, fresh air, and a great day of learning outside the classroom.

A wonderful way to wrap up their corn unit and enjoy a beautiful Wisconsin fall day! 🍂☀️🌽

🧡NEW STAFF SPOTLIGHT: MR. KELLER! 🖤
We’re excited to welcome Mr. Dennis Keller to the River View team! 🦅

Mr. Keller is beginning his 16th year as a middle school science teacher and his first here at River View! He is looking forward to getting to know his students and sharing the many experiences and opportunities that science brings to the classroom. 🧪🔬

When he’s not in the classroom, Mr. Keller enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. In the summer, you can find him at the BMX track racing bikes 🚲, and during the winter, you’ll likely find him on the basketball court! 🏀

We’re excited to have Mr. Keller joining our River View family and can’t wait for a great year ahead!

Now that we are getting into the swing of the school year, we wanted to spotlight some of our new staff.

🧡NEW STAFF SPOTLIGHT: MR. MADSEN! 🖤
We’re excited to welcome Mr. Nathan Madsen to the River View team! 🦅

Mr. Madsen is beginning his 23rd year of teaching and his first here at River View! He is looking forward to getting to know the students and staff and becoming part of the River View community. 🌟

When he’s not in the classroom, Mr. Madsen enjoys hiking with his dogs 🐕, spending time out in nature 🌲, and tackling DIY projects around the house! 🔨

We’re excited to have Mr. Madsen bring his experience to River View and can’t wait for a great year ahead!

We had a wonderful first day of school and loved having our students back in the building! Thank you to our students, staff, and families for helping us kick off another great year at River View. We are looking forward to another great day tomorrow!

☀️ Quick reminder: Our building can get warm throughout the day, especially with the warmer weather. Please encourage students to dress for the weather and bring a water bottle that they can refill throughout the day.

We’re excited to welcome Mrs. Ashley Wiensch to the River View team! 🦅

Mrs. Wiensch is beginning her 6th year of teaching and first in Kaukauna and is looking forward to building relationships with her students, getting to know each of them as individuals, and helping them grow in both their English skills and confidence throughout the year. 🌟

When she’s not in the classroom, Mrs. Wiensch loves to travel ✈️, paint 🎨, and spend time reading a good book! 📚

We’re excited to have Mrs. Wiensch joining our River View family and can’t wait to see the connections she builds with our students!
