Throughout the year, Mrs. LaPean's grade 1 class studies and classifies different animals and their first creature was a cricket!

Students identified and drew the parts of a cricket, learned a simple poem, asked questions to compare and contrast crickets with other creatures, and even created and maintained a miniature habitat for their "pet" crickets. Today, they connected it all back to nature by releasing their crickets outside near a tree on campus.

We love seeing the joy and curiosity on our students’ faces as they discover the beauty of God’s creation!

Why do our students attend daily Mass during the year? Because we recognize the Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life. To have a joyfully Catholic culture requires us to keep our eyes fixed upon Christ.

A new year of learning began today! 📚

We are grateful to be back together in the classroom, ready for another year of growing in wisdom, virtue, and faith.

Across every discipline, from theology and philosophy to science, history, literature, and the arts, each subject invites our students to pursue truth, goodness, and beauty, and ultimately to know God more deeply.

Please pray for our school community as we embark on a year of joy, discovery, and curiosity. St. Ignatius of Loyola, pray for us.

Welcome back, St. Ignatius Chesterton Academy students!

Our high school students and staff kicked off the school year today by attending Mass with Rev. Johnathan Turba, O.Praem. at St. Norbert Abbey, playing field games, and welcoming our incoming freshmen into their new houses!

Now a yearly tradition, they ended the day with a little friendly competition at Kastle Karts.

This weekend was a joyous occasion for our St. Ignatius school community!

At Holy Cross Church on Sunday, St. Ignatius student, Addison and St. Ignatius dad, Seth entered into full communion with the Catholic Church in a beautiful celebration that included the Sacraments of Baptism, the Eucharist, and Confirmation. Addison was also joined by two members of his family, who received the Sacraments of Baptism and the Eucharist alongside him.

We rejoice with them and give thanks to God for the beautiful ways He continues to work in our community. ✝️
