The KHS choir program is excited to welcome Nola McDonald as a student teacher this fall! She’ll be with us until early November. Here’s a little bit about her…

Nola is a passionate musician and teacher, excited to experience new things this year. Following student teaching, she will be graduating from UW-Stevens Point with a major in Music Education and a minor in Art. Throughout the last three years of her time at UWSP, Nola directed and ran UWSP's non-auditioned a ca****la group on campus; In Harmony. One of her biggest accomplishments is bringing In Harmony from 4 members to 24 in a matter of 6 semesters by building a caring community and positive learning environment for all those involved. Bringing that experience into the world of teaching, Nola looks forward to spending her time learning and growing with the Kaukauna High School community.

Welcome to Mr. Powers!

🧡🖤 NEW STAFF SPOTLIGHT: MR. POWERS! 🖤🧡
We’re excited to welcome Mr. Chris Powers to the River View team! 🦅🎶

Mr. Powers brings more than 20 years of teaching experience to River View and a passion for music education that extends well beyond the classroom. He gives back to the music education community by serving on local, state, and national boards, including the National Board of Trustees for the American Orff Schulwerk Association! 🎵

When he’s not teaching, Mr. Powers and his family love spending time outdoors. In fact, they finished hiking the entire Ice Age Trail this summer! 🥾🌲 His favorite color is purple 💜, and you might even spot his passion for Orff Schulwerk on his hoodie!

We’re excited to have Mr. Powers bring his experience, energy, and love of music to River View!

And just like that, we've reached the end of our journey through the decades! Thank you for reminiscing with us as we celebrated 100 years of Kaukauna Band history.

The 2020s has been a decade where new traditions have joined old ones, students have continued to raise the bar, and the Kaukauna Band community has remained stronger than ever.

The Kaukauna Band turns 100 years old this school year! Celebrate YOUR place in Kaukauna Band history by joining us for the Band & Alumni Centennial Celebration on January 13, 2027.

The 2010s were a decade of momentum for the Kaukauna Band. Under John Stangel's leadership, the program continued to thrive and grow, providing countless opportunities for students to perform and succeed. When John retired in 2018, current KHS director Jacob Martin inherited a program with a rich tradition and enthusiastic students.

River View Band Camp is in full swing! We’ve had a great week making music with our middle school musicians. Students have been working hard in their sections and as a full band to prepare music to share with family and friends.
